A judge is murdered, and the only man who could have done it, couldn't have done it. Dale "the Whale" is a 400 pound man who can't even leave his bed, but then, when witnesses comfirm that they had seen a very fat man, the trail turns cold. Monk knows that Dale did it, he only has to find out how.

Interesting, very interesting. But not elementary, my dear Watson. Along with the confusing path of this episode, this also gives a deeper peer into the past life of Monk and Trudy. "Bread and butter" plays a signifigant role in this one, so pay close attention!
